1echecs font in excel 2007?

Has anybody been able to successfully use the 1echecs font in Excel 2007? I tried with the diagram "string" on separate rows/columns as well as in a single cell. In both cases, gaps are present between the (board)rows. Same result in Word 2007, but works in Access 2007.

I have not tried it before, but your query has prompted me to try... and I failed too in Excel 2007. The best result I have got then I pasted diagram into multiple (usually 10) rows, centralized vertical adjustment and then adjusted cell height to have square board. However thin spaces remained.

1echecs works ok in normal text of Word 2007, I use it regularly. Well, not in tables when the diagram rows are in different table rows, seemingly. In one single cell of the table it is ok.

But I would say it is not a problem of 1echecs, but rather that of the Office software...

Believe the same problem exists with 2D Barcode fonts. Apparently excel(2007 at least) has no option to adjust "line spacing". Remember trying with excel 95 version and it used to work then, except that some elements like the "cross" for royal pieces were not visible.

You may try to install another (virtual) printer, f.ex. a PDF writer. This may change the handling of fonts in MS Office.
And - what about Open Office?
