In Gaudium 300 there is a problem by Maleika where White can try a Nowotny or
a preparation of double check, with the same double threat.
How many ways are there for a *single* threat? I found only three fundamentally
different: pin, interception, double check threat. (Think Kf6+Bf3, now
Qa1 or Qf1 or Qe4 all threat Sc3-d5#.) Do you count more? Do you know
an offhand example? Can it be realized with a double threat instead?
(In my example, I lack a square between f3 and e4 for Sc3-d5/e4#.
With a camel, a matrix exists that works perfectly - any ideas to remove
the unthematic nightrider other than let Qe5 be parried by Rxe5?)

In Conflictio 50 there is an article by G. Maleika trying various matrices of the same idea - the same double threat after Nowotny or with doublecheck. Perhaps some inspiration for the research of matrix too. The issue is not yet published on the Julia's Fairies website for download, so I can send it to anyone interested by e-mail, just let me know.
