A Toast To 20


Upon the final half hour
In my slice of the global time
Of the day marking
Twenty years existing, harking
I know not why
I missed the my 19th here
When 17 and 18 are present there
Nonetheless, a glass of water
To the experience of existence
Such thoughts to ponder
So I leave a problem
For myself and perhaps others
Symbolizing sacrifice
And the heights
One must make to strive
To go above
And live one's life
It can take much
That much is true
Enjoy the day
And reap the rues
For life is slow
Yet all such fast
Take six in fight
And enjoy the night
