Fun Fairy Facts

PowerTransfer Antipodes

After 5.0 moves in the condition PowerTransfer Antipodes (the powers of each unit is transferred to the antipode square [4,4] away), there exists a unique PG in 5.0 which swaps any white Bishop with any black Bishop (preserving all other features of the initial game array).

Four solutions:
1.e4 e5 2.Bc4 Bc5 3.Ba3 Ba6 4.Bf8 Bf1 5.e2 e7
1.d4 d5 2.Bf4 Bf5 3.Bh3 Bh6 4.Bc8 Bc1 5.d2 d7
1.e4 d5 2.Be2 Bd7 3.Bg4 Bb5 4.Bc8 Bf1 5.e2 d7
1.d4 e5 2.Bd2 Be7 3.Bb4 Bg5 4.Bf8 Bc1 5.d2 e7

By the way... can anyone point me to some example problems? Do they exist in any database?
Is there some alias name for this condition?

Acirce Antipoden

After 3.0 moves in a game of Acirce Antipoden (a capturing unit must be reborn onto an empty antipode square [4,4] away), where two rebirths occurred, and white was checkmated, there exists exactly two solutions (in fact, it's one solution, but the first move varies).

In Alphabet Chess, half of the possible first moves lead to an easily lost position for White.

SAT + royalgrasshoppers is the most interesting, exciting, profound development in fairy chess in the last 50 years - FACT.

Neal has almost patented this combination 😄. Were you the first?

No, that honour goes to Juraj Lorinc - others have also dabbled, but have backed away when faced with the immensity of the concept.
But there's room for everybody in this Exotic Garden, where all the fruit is low-hanging, so that even a dwarf like me can occasionally grab hold of something juicy!

>>> Neal has almost patented this combination
And now he has to extend it (has he already?) to SAT + Royal Rook/Bishop/Nightrider hoppers!

Fact: SAT with fairy units is now added to the bucket list.
