Happy 101st birthday Almiro Zarur!

Today Almiro Zarur, the great Brazilian composer (in music and chess) celebrates his 101st birthday!

As a small gift, his friends and admirers have prepared the award of the Almiro Zarur 100 JT:

And, as a gift to all the participants, there is the copy of book with Almiro's selected compositions (published 2009):

Both files are in Mat Plus Archive too, with some photos, music and lyrics included into the award.

Happy birthday, dear friend!

Three months have passed and it is time to publish the final award of the Almiro Zarur 100th Anniversary Tourney.
In Section B (H # 2), the 2nd Honorable Mention, by F. Simoni, is non-thematic since the wS never mates and this is an exigency of the theme. According to the judge Paz Einat, the problem is to be removed from the award and all other honorable mentions move up one place.
So we come to final text. Once again we want to thank Borislav Gadjanski and Antonio Garofalo, Marjan Kovacevic and Paz Einat, directors and judges of Sections A and B.
