a simple h#

Here is a simple miniature I composed recently. Probably anticipated! Easy to solve!
(= 3+4 )

h#2 Two solutions

Possible version:
(= 3+4 )

h#2 4 sol.

wow! superb! i wish i had thought of that 😟

A pity it couldn't be a AUW...

Like (say) in something like this:

(= 4+5 )

h#2, 7 solutions

Hm... Two of the solutions are practically the same, and repeats the Q promotion. Then:

(= 4+7 )

h#2, 5 solutions

This is also an excellent development showing AUW and more! It can be economised of course.

(= 4+5 )

h#2 5 solutions

1.g2-g1=B a7-a8=Q 2.Bg1-b6 Qa8-c8 #
1.Bh5-g4 Rg8-b8 2.Bg4-c8 b7*c8=Q #
1.Sa6-c5 b7-b8=S 2.Sc5-b7 a7-a8=S #
1.Sa6-c5 b7-b8=R 2.Sc5-d7 Rg8-c8 #
1.Kc7-d7 Kg5-f6 2.Sa6-c7 b7-b8=S #

Yes, that extra solution with two wN promotions have some charm (in spite of the move repetitions...)

An alternative for a single colored AUW:

(= 5+5 )

h#2 4 solutions

The star-Pawn is annihilated in the fourth solution, and this is (I believe) a pleasant compensation for the need of a second acting wP...

Without wPh7:
(= 4+5 )

h#2 4 sol.

Really a nice problem, good construction.

All model mates too! Deserves to be more widely known

Ph7 is needed!

It is sound without h7. But perhaps not all models.

Sorry, I overlooked the change Bd6, a nice improvement.
It's hard to get a model mate with the queen.

The bBd6 is a fine move indeed, that I overlooked while posting back then (that wPh7 was total nonsense...) ** I would still shift the other Bishop say to g6 for an optimized general mobility

(= 4+5 )
h#2 4 solutions

*** Diagram in post (2) above is already a very accomplished miniature, with gorgeous play, and the wP queening in two different squares.

With bRa7 there is one more solution, but with very similar queen mate:
(= 4+5 )
h#2 5 sol.

A second mate with the second Pawn - simple, but quite reasonable...

...with a second annihilation of the first Pawn. I liked it, cheers

Wow! From the simplest scheme of diagram 1, to this great problem, this is pure genius. Five different promotions (including AUW) with 8 men is a great achievement. Well done Viktoras. This must go to the Fide album !!

This helpmate is the result of joint creative work. It is difficult to say what the value of the problem is because it did not participate in any tournament, and, apparently, could not participate as an original composition, since it was already published on the forum.

A flower in a forest may still be more beautiful than all the flowers in a flower show!
