Does anyone have Lomonossov tablebases at home?

I'm curious, are the Lomonossov tablebases only available on the server of the Lomonossov university, or does anyone have them at home, i.e. are they safe for posteriority? Also, where do you find a 200 TB harddisk?

EDIT: Found the answer to the latter question on Wikipedia. Currently the biggest single harddisks have still under 20 TB. So, a setup for the Lomonossov bases would be out of a reasonable price range for most people.

Dear Marcin,

I meant not over internet but as physical copy. Is there only the tablebase on their server (which can be accessed over internet), or is there a full backup that someone has at home?
I don't trust big corporations (or universities, for that matter) to prevent cultural goods anymore (see BBC and Doctor Who).

For general information: the tablebases are not only available on the server of the Lomonosov university.

This site powered by Ronald de Man's Syzygy endgame tablebases presents 7-piece tables generated by Bojun Guo.

For those interested in downloading the tablebases, see this mention on the same page:

Generating the tablebases requires time and resources. It is more efficient to download them via BitTorrent or from a mirror: (fastest mirror, EU, not all 7-piece tables) (complete mirror, EU)
Bojun Guo (ftp, China, original source of 7-piece tables)

Very good, so they are safe!

Still I suggest we host them also on WFCC servers.

Thanks for the link! It looks like that tablebase doesn't cover all 7-men positions, though. I tested with two positions; the tablebase worked well for one of them, but with the other one, it said "Position not found in tablebases."

And the app mentioned does not exist for iPhone, as far as I know.

Almost all 7-man Syzygy tablebases are available online:

Looks like the last tablebases will be generated in a week.

I have about 6.5TB of tablebases already downloaded (almost all 4v3 endgames), the total size seems around 9TB.
These are only the WDL (WinDrawLoss) files of the Syzygy TBs, for analysing studies, the DTZ files are not really needed.
(The full set is estimated to be around 20TB.)

All 7-man Syzygy tablebases have been generated!
Start downloading them, the total size is "only" 17 TB! ;)

Any tech savvy make comments on the *.rtbw format? (It surely isn't plaintext :-)

Great! I can confirm that the endgame which I tested last week, is now working.

Lomonosov tables are available for free on android. The PC app BlueStacks emulates android and allow you to run Lomonosov pretty well on a PC for free but with ads. The only trick I needed is to make sure the setting is portrait like a phone rather than landscape, because otherwise the advert strip covers too much of the screen

How the hell do you even get it to work on mobile? I've tried it, but all I've ever gotten is something about a buggy connection, and the danged thing just doesn't work.

I don’t have android and have never tried running Lomonosov on mobile. But it all seems very easy to run it on PC as I described - and I am not a tech person. L is only needed for 7 pieces. For 6- can use There is also syzygy but that is focused on 50M rule, which is a plus and a minus
