To my knowledge, this is the longest helpmate problem that uses orthodox material, albeit in an illegal position
I came across an attempt at making a legal version of it on yacpdb, ID80161, by
Bán, Jenő that is a h#42, but I quickly cooked it with a solution in h#38-even worse than the Blathy cook.

But supposing that we were allowed to illegally add as many non-king pieces as we want in an illegal position, for how many moves more could be possibly extend Otto Blathy's helpmate problem by using his matrix?
My suggestion is this diagram. The idea is to extend the king walks for as long as possible.

A note.of interest:
Could a longer helpmate, longer than my h#59, that has an illlegal position that use more than orthodox material, possibly be constructed at all that doesn't use Blathy's matrix?
