Many thanks for the great hospitality and the wonderful people and atmosphere! I think everyone enjoyed it, but possibly I enjoyed it the most!

Apologies if this is not good by helpmate standards, but I think it is interesting and hopefully not anticipated! :-)

Nice problem, two tempo moves! I would like to thank our distinguished guest, Mr. Hornecker, for holding his lecture and his active participation in our Festival, thereby making it much more significant and valuable. For many of us, the numerous discussions we had with him were an excellent refreshment. Thank you Sieg!

Joost, I was there (with one more pawn) but decided to add the tries with the knight by adding three more pieces. If the bB does not come from the h-file, you probably can just remove that, i.e. shift the position one file to the right. :-)

Or is the Umnov with anticritical try of value here? Maybe we should open a new thread for the helpmate discussion?

Mr. Djurašević, I remembered a talk with Dolf the other day where he showed his(?) helpmate with two tempo moves and how they add value to a problem, so I took an idea I got the other night in Belgrade and turned it into a problem with two tempo moves and a few tries. Glad to see you like it. :-)

Yes Sigfried, the great hospitality, the wonderful people and atmosphere. A true festival and a feast of chess composition to which I pilgrim regularly.

In Belgrade we tried to count the pure tempo-moves in a "relativistic" joke in which W1 enables the tempo-move B2, which in turn enables the tempo-move W1:

I immediately had to think about complete help-problems: a help problem with set, a try which fails due to a missing waiting move for white, a try which fails due to a missing waiting move for black and one or more solutions.

You mean something like:
P0523164 or
P0572065 (with missing tempo tries 1.Txb3? ?? 2.Rb2 Rf3#; 1.Dg6? Lxg6 2.?? Lh5#)

According to my sources, 'aidé complet' was introduced by Romeo Bédoni in 1964, so Fadil's composition predates the name.
