BIT 2013 - dedicated to MIlan's ideas

The more complete Announcement of BPCF 2013, and BIT 2013, with thematic examples on: http://bbratzin.wix.com/problemista, or on the direct link:

The Belgrade Internet Tourneys 2013 – Announcement

The problems should be submitted by e-mail only, to kovacevic.marjan@gmail.com, not later than May 5th 2013. Each composer could submit only one problem per group (single or joint), different versions of the same problem will not be accepted. Promoted and fairy pieces are not allowed.
The results will be published on the Internet.

Group A – Mate in two (#2) Judge: Darko Šaljić
At least two changed mates between the phase beginning with white castling (solution or try), and any other phase (set-play, try, solution, but not a twin).
The entries with white-to-play form and those with new records would be especially welcome.
Some comments:
In the computer bases we couldn’t find examples with more than 3 changed mates in 2 phases, with Zagoruyko 3x2 change, or with reciprocal change.
Milan Velimirović worked hard to achieve more than 2 changed mates in a white-to-play #2 (between the set-play and the solution with castling as the key-move). The only result was his Example 1, with a complete block, instead of WTP, and the castling as the thematic try.

Group B) Helpmate in two (h#2) Judge: Miodrag Mladenović
In one of the phases (set-play, solution, twin) White allows a tempo move by Black. In another phase Black allows a tempo move by White. A sacrifice is not obligatory way of allowing the thematic tempo moves. Zero position is not allowed.
Some comments:
In one of his early works Milan created this intriguing combination, adding the set-play condition that makes it even more difficult to realize.

Seems Long castling not permissible, as the thematic phase. (though one of the examples - Yuri Vahalkov - shows just that)

Both castlings allowed!
Thanks for the remark, we shall correct the announcement.

I am a beginner in chess problem and I intend to take part in this tourney as I am interested in the theme. However, I am sure about the file format and the requirements for submission. Is it okay if I send the diagram and the solution in PDF format?

Thanks a lot.

Some people seem to have problems entering the "Problemista" site. I will add the direct link to the announcement on MPF:

Important remarks!!

#2 – Wieland Bruch kindly provided the example with reciprocal change – “possibly the only one so far”:

A.Dombrovskis/V.Melnichenko
6.Pl. 1st WCCT (A2), 1972-1975
(= 13+8 )

#2 (13+8)
1. Kd2? (2. Re1) ...Bd4/Bf4+ 2. Qf5/Se3, ...Sc3!;
1. 0-0! (2. Re1) ...Bd4+/Bf4 2. Se3/Qf5, ...Bd5/Qb5/Sc3 2. Qf5/Qe5/Sdc3

h#2 – There were questions how wide is the meaning of the word “allow” (enable).
The judge Miodrag Mladenović decided to accept the wider meaning, as presented in both new examples by Iosif Krikheli.

Moves 1…Bg4! in the a) position of the first one, and 1...Rc1! in the first solution of the second example, do not physically allow the next tempo moves 2.Rg1!/2.Bd3! However, they prevent the negative effects of these tempo-moves: black guard of g6/check to WK. These examples are considered to be thematic.
Besides, there is a new thematic example by Gyorgi Paros.

marjan,
wieland knows plenty of twomovers, but definitely not all of them. he only was right telling "possibly"...
here's another castling reciprocal change, yet much weaker:

Thanks a lot Peter!
Anyone knows examples with Zagoruiko 3x2 (there should have been some), or 2x4 changes?

Try 1.Qb5? Qb8!, with two changes on cxd3/cxb3.
Possibly also 1.f4?? with another change on cxd3.

While we're at it, what about castling as a try...but which
is retro-illegal? (hint hint :-)

About the author’s intention in the #2 from Post No.10:
Two main tries: 1.Rd1? cb3! 2.Be1? 1.Kd2? cd3! 2.Qa1? 1.0-0-0! vacates both e1 and a1.
The 1.Qb5? is an additional try, changing both mates. This fact makes it less important example of the BIT 2013 theme.
