Please tell people they need JavaScript, not everyone has it activated by default. Also, I think it must be "were found" instead "was founded", and "sent" instead "sended".
Best,

You may be interesting to try to use the script I am currently working on. I started it as a small utility which would enhance the pastime "Tests", but it went to the completely different direction (I'll come back to tests eventually!). Current version can be tried at:
http://www.milanvel.net/pgnlive/pgnlive.php
It can be easily incorporated into other web pages, just need to create and post the request to the above url. An example is in: http://www.milanvel.net/pgnlive/PGNSUB_Sample.pdf
The developement is still on progress and the page loads slowly. Sometimes, very rarely, you get the alert about the missing "cdiag" object (will fix it soon, the reason is my attempt to hide the script), but a refresh usually helps. |

yes, Milan, i'm interesting in this web service :)
now, easiest way will be to get more diagrams in page - without solutions.
i added a preview button for each endgame. |

I want to integrate into http://www.endgame.tu2.ru search by themes, but to analize each endgame by hand is so dificult. What thems can be determined automatically? By example, easy to determine mat - nedd to find just simbol # (shure, at some situation appear error). Also i can determine underpromotions... but how i can determine perpetual checks, pat and many others endgame thems? Do you have any suggestions?
Best wishes,
Mihail Croitor |

If you have all as PGN file, you may want to use Chess Query Language, so you can easily find themes.
- same position is repeated with same players to move but with one less white piece (WCCT 7 theme)
- same mating position occurs somewhere else in a variation (echo checkmate)
- same stalemating ... (echo stalemate)
- etc. |

thank You, Siegfried, i think, i can use it. On website i have DB in mySQL format, but its no problem.
sometimes CQL fails - by example, i tried to find all positions with Nowotny theme and obtained more incorect positions. |

some positions can be founded by theme now :) |

But the implemention seems strange:
PID : 3348
Hornecker S
2 c, Springaren 2005-2006
8/3P3R/8/8/8/3r2pp/3k3p/K5B1 w - - 0 1
This is ending with stalemate, but not shown when searched for the theme. Reason is, you're missing an empty space between "6.Qf5+" and "Rd3". Please use your PGN Live applet to understand what I mean.
However, it should still be found, or not? |

Thank you Siegfried,
that was implemented by CQL, but some endgames was not processed, if exists some mistakes on moves (program cant parse moves). at this position move Nr. 6 was writed without whitespace. now it is corrected.
anyone, tell me about any error in database, please |

QUOTE Today Milan's service was inaccessible ...
I checked with the provider and got the information that currently the site is being moved to another server (it's another domain, not MatPlus.Net!). However, I got another information that my subscription has expired (although according to my records it expires in March) and the service may be inaccessible until tomorrow. Despite all the technology the eye to eye contact is here still the best and often the only way to settle the problem.

The online database is a very good idea! But if a collaboration between you and Mr. Heijden would be possible, it would be even better. Just an idea: he allows you to use his whole database and you are placing an advertisment on your site on how to buy his database... |

may be exists some ways for collaboration |

And the end result would probably be what happened with the Meson database: someone writes a program that 'scrapes' the site -- systematically downloads every study one by one.
Don't put protected or pay-to-use contents on the web unless you give it at least the same level of protection. |

Yet another small update on "Chess Endgame Database" (http://www.endgame.tu2.ru/) - was added a possibility to download query result in pdf format (for printing and analyzing). Some data on pdf is not included (as source, award ...). No more 1000 diagrams per pdf.
After query will appear a link "get pdf" near the browsing arrows. Comments and observations are welcome. |
