The rules are same as in regular chess. However if you capture an opponent piece you can use it as your own by inserting it anywhere on the board as one move (of course you have to place it on the empty square and if it's a pown you cannot place it on 1st or last row). You do not have to insert piece on the next move. You can hold it until the right moment to use it. I did play this crazyhouse chess but I never saw any problem using this condition. Additional rule is that if you capture promoted pown you can only insert pown and not promoted piece. |

Album 04-06 G38
any idea if this is on Popeye? |

G38 hasn't been tested using Popeye. At the time, I and Ion Murarasu had to check it manually. We have analyzed together no less than 25 different versions before eventually getting to a setting which we couldn't cook in spite of our efforts.
Pity Crazyhouse has not been yet implemented in any chess solving program, at least to my current knowledge. |

Thanks Vlaicu!
Nice problem by the way. I'm looking at some tertiary threat correction possibilities in a #2 with this condition. I think I'll put this on the back-burner and wait for future programming!
