Composer's block

So, gentlemen. With the WCCT X around, what do you do against composer's block?
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Writer%27s_block&oldid=661361945

After my hard work on you know what task I think I got this. Since January 1, 2012, I have only 136 new entries (this includes corrections, versions, cooperations sent in by others, etc) in my database. Before that, for the year 2011 alone, it was 133 entries.

So... share your experiences! :-)

Interesting reference, Siegfried!
Your statistic seems a bit hard to understand. Did you register more than 100 position of yours in 2011? To me, it sounds like too many, and may be a good reason for "composers block".

You tell me, Siegfried! Seeing your numbers, I must have a constant composer's block.

The wikipedia article is interesting. I found many common echoes:
"..run out of inspiration"
"..distracted by other events"
"..adverse circumstances in a writer's life or career"
"..feeling intimidated by one's previous big successes"

There are plenty of articles/books for curing writer's block. One which I was reading was "The war of art" by Steven Pressfield - http://www.amazon.com/The-War-Art-Through-Creative/dp/1936891026. (Not to be confused with "The art of war" by Sun Tzu!)

Maybe one of us can write a similar book for dormant composers..!

From personal experience:

When I was a young composer, I had so much ideas, but I completely
lacked the technique. Now I can shave off a pawn of an Ahues
(hey, just joking, only Chuck Norris can do that :-) but have
no more ideas. Knowing that (with my "ancient" style") there is
a 99% probability of some other genius to have had the idea before me
isn't exactly helpful, either.
Thus I'm composing not much anymore, mostly showing young composers
how to save half of the material in their "modern" 2# :P
