Hiya,
just saw that you are a member here too. I remember you did a problem
with Nowotny+paradox (same) Nowotny as reciproc mate change.
Since I don't remember your setting at all, I could lift the theme
for SCHWALBE without qualms :-) - but I still like to file your
original setting under "Inspirations" at my website.

I hope Colin doesn't mind the "invasion" in the thread.
It seems it could be this one (WinChloe ID 2231, No 244 FIDE Album 1980-82), which has no Novotny tries compared to yours.

fyi, another great composer, Drs. Cor Goldschmeding, worked on this theme. Instead of a give-and-take, his problem from 1966 has a 2-flights-giving key, which also gives something more - a check! Ten years later in booklet of his selected problems he demonstrated how to avoid the checking key - with almost the carbon copy of Vukcevich's problem.C. Goldschmeding

Hallo, Hauke. I'm sorry, I didn't see this topic until the Review reached me. If it's of any interest, I knew of the Vukcevic (of course), and had the pleasure of showing him my (then unpublished)problem when he paid a visit to the BCPS in London (he approved). I also knew of the 1966 Goldschmeding (which is in the Album, No 103), but not of the 1976 Goldschmeding, which is new to me.
I was pleased to be able to shut my free BR off from 3 different batteries. But your problem has enhanced the idea with tries, which I like a lot. Good luck with it.

**** out of luck - the Schwalbe audience wasn't exactly impressed.
I even can understand them - while I am proud about inserting
thematic tries, your set-up surely is far more spectacular.
