I guess 1.Kc4+? Bg8+! and now Sxh8/Rxh8? because the wK is in check? and 1...Bg8 is not an illegal selfcheck?

Condensing the above translates to:
An opposing king can only be captured if the opponent can not capture the own king. As an extreme example, both kings can stand next to each other without giving check if both are protected (as the opponent always could re-capture). Capture and counter-capture are - just like in standard chess - not really played.
