I know my assumption is bad -- the title of this thread makes clear that this is the place to discuss what is the proper place to discuss problem history -- nevertheless, my hopes for an actual discussion is not easily overcome.
So, I agree with Hauke -- if you want a separate section for Q&A/history/biography/book topics/etc, somebody has to justify the classification (by crowding the general section with lively discussions of the specific topic).
