Kuznetsov I received message that information is sought by a direct descendant on master Anatoly Georgievich Kuznetsov (NOT to be confused with and unrelated to Alexander P. Kuznetsov). Kuznetsov (1932-2000) often worked together with other composers, so someone should know something. I have featured a study of Kuznetsov/Sakharov in an article this year, but Boris Sakharov already has died in 1973 so he can't be asked.

Apparently the EG article is known to the descendant already:

Information seems to be sought on the private circumstances of Kuznetsov, as well as on his family. | | (2) Posted by Valery Liskovets [Saturday, Nov 11, 2017 17:51] | I've met AGK 2-3 times in Moscow and exchanged several letters with him (wrt my early retro-problems submitted to Shakhmaty v SSSR). Besides, I dedicated to him one my problem, http://pdb.dieschwalbe.de/search.jsp?expression=PROBID=%27P1000483%27&s=0 , the intention of which partially belongs to Anatoly Georgievich. He definitely saw it. As far as I remember I read an article in Russian devoted to that famous study by Kuznetsov & Sakharov presumably written by him, as well as some popular retro-notes written by Kuznetsov and Plaksin and published somewhere in Moscow. Very long ago... I can add nothing more.
Valery Liskovets | | (3) Posted by Arno Tungler [Tuesday, Nov 14, 2017 09:38] | In "Shakhmathaya Kompozitsia" No. 37 (October 2000) on pages 35 and 36 you can find an obituary of the master from Yakov Vladimirov with his chess composition achievements but also with a few details of his private life. Interestingly on the cover there is also a group photo of Soviet Union composers with Anatoly Kuznetsov and on page 2 some explanations to the role of Kuznetsov as well as a two-mover that won the famous tournament with the Netherlands. And in the earlier No. 36 (August 2000) issue of the same journal the awards of the 2-mover tournament "Pushkin - 200" is published with the 2nd prize winner Anatoly Kuznetsov. Judge of that tournament, Marian Kovachevic mentioned that this 2-mover turned out to be the "posthumous success of this composer of very bright individuality." You can download the magazines in question from http://ru-chess-art.livejournal.com/103885.html. | | (4) Posted by Sarah Hornecker [Sunday, Nov 19, 2017 16:17] | It seems there is no OEM, i.e. I can't use Google for autotranslate. But I hope the person that was first asking for will understand Russian. | | No more posts |
