Merchandising chess problems Don't laugh! I have a kitchen roll / paper towels with Sudoku riddles. I wonder if something like that could be made with chess problems. Maybe we could make chess composition more known to people that way?
edit: "known to more people" would fit better what I mean but Sergiy did understand me, obviously :-) |

It's a good idea! Calendars, exercise-books, notepads with chess compositions can interest a lot of people.
But maybe the most suitable product for advertisement is toilet paper! Restrooms, that's where people have time to think. |

Oh, I knew *many* chess problems that are *perfectly*
suited for this purpose. Please excuse if I don't give an
actual example, I don't want to spoil anyone's Xmas :-)

Marjan Kovačević, I read in (german language) Wikipedia, produces beermats with chess problems (and solutions on a separate beermat). They can be found at the publisher Caissa Commerce (Beograd). The beermats have a plastic coat. Very nice idea! Maybe he can tell us more about such projects? |

Addendum: Since the MPF probably doesn't read INSELSCHACH -
at the last AniChess Cup in Hamburg there were little
chocolate tables with old #n classics (pre-1900).
As I already PMed to Siegfried, one was anticipating mine
so I quickly ate up the evidence :-) (OK, so I lied,
sometimes you have to retrofit reality to improve it...)

A chess club in Rio de Janeiro (Clube de Xadrez Guanabara or Guanabara Chess Club) has a collection of green beermats with classic chess problems inprinted.
If one of the beermats problems anticipates Hauke Reddmann I'll bring it to Jurmala so he can eat that evidence too! |
