50 move challenge (from CSE)


Play from the start position such that each move
is a capture or a pawn move (i.e. resetting the 50 move rule).
A hard limit, most probably (you can't sacrifice pieces to free all pawns),
is 114 moves (4+6+6+6 for each pawn double, x4, plus 32-2-4 pieces
to sacrifice), 106 have been obtained:

Bringing the pawns through without molesting the kings and
planning captures is essential.
