I'm a bit surprised: 8 is still the record for the "perfect" Fleck
(all black moves leave only one mate, all 8 threats appear as mate),
and that number hasn't been upped for a "clean" Fleck (all black
moves *that at least parry one mate* and so on...), let alone
a "free" Fleck (all 8 threats appear as mate, ignore stupid duals :-)
I would even allow promoted material and other shenanigans...
 (= 5+6 )

Or has someone newer news than the Morse and the Albrecht?
I'm quite sure I could do a free 9 in ten minutes when held at gunpoint :-)

Each of the above 10 moves by wRg7 (together with four recaptures, which are not threats) is White's unique reply to some Black rook move. So, 10-fold Fleck.

Morse even did a Karlström 10+10 (#842, Supplement 2nd ed.) and a complete R14
has been shown, but obviously I mean "no random battery threats"
(where YACPDB 31518 still holds the "perfect fleck" record).
