More about statistics. Andriy Frolkin has just prepared the article "FIDE ALBUM 2007-2009: UKRAINE’S CONTRIBUTION" with a detailed
analysis and examples. Moreover, AF has analyzed the legality of the problems in sections A bis F and discovered two more ones with
illegal positions: F75 and F81 (proofs are included). In this connection he poses the question: "Wouldn’t it make sense to ask a retro section judge to check the legality of all compositions selected to sections A – F once the selection process is over, so as to avoid such blunders in the future?"

Frolkin's article is available at the site of Valery Kopyl

hi to all,

a few weeks ago the hard disc of my computer is completely gone. also the data from july and august could not be saved.
i tried to restore the album database from the earlier archive files, and form the emails, but could not guarantee 100 per cent.
therefore some mistakes concerning orders and mailing the album might happen (and some really did). i would like to apologize.

please send any claims to my email peter.gvozdjak@gmail.com .
i will solve the issues as fast as possible.

thanks for understanding!
peter

Peter, Really sorry to hear that. Didn't you have a backup? Or something like Dropbox or Google Drive?

Dear Peter,

I am sorry to see you lost a lot of important data.

as you seem to have no backup, I can advise you can try to recover data. It depends on the issue with the hard disk how much can be recovered, but please do not touch the disk anymore.

There are instructions available online somewhere, but it is best to ask an expert (note that the people in stores are not always experts, better ask a personal friend). You will of course need to provide an external hard disk for that.

Best regards,
Siegfried
