The devil in the hole

Evil always lurks, constantly smirks, and has its precarious perks. Always a step ahead or two, and equally clever, it never fails to crush and deliver. Alas, however, in every tale, evil nigh almost wins but does but fail. Yet with squeeze and loss, comes one last trick, to turn the tables with ease and lick. In the hole, with one last ace, almost gone and face to face. The devil, on its last legs, is trying to prevent the powdered keg. While it may be done in many ways, the angels may give hush. Of course, as always, they shall attempt the give rush. If you are an angel, then find the quickest plan!

3s solving time on my lame-ass PC. (A "normal" <spoiler>-mover
would rather take 3 days.) So for once, the computer solved
a longmover faster than me :-)
(Olaf, care to give Gustavs time for teh lulz?)

With white king on c7 you don't need the white pieces above the 5th rank and get a miniature with five pieces. But which version would you prefer?

Miniatures are nice, but the whole point is the longest possible Black rex solus against White's whole army.

@Rewan: I did the research :-)

(I naturally did not check correctness.)

Thanks Hauke. So it is already done! :-) Stockfish analysis agrees that is correct, with many variations of course.

But I suppose that I, at least, can claim the dual free length!

Where is the dual in Wurzburg example?

There is a dual-free variant in the Wurzburg:
1. b3 Ka7 2. b4 Ka8 3. b5 Ka7 4. b6+ Kxb6 5. Kb8 Kc5 6. c8=D+ Kd4 7. Qc2 Ke3 8. Bc7 Kf3 9. d8=Q Ke3 10. Qdd3#
In the 6..Kd5-variant there's a dual 7. Qc2 and 7. Qc3.
