About post 3
For the 2 (hypothetical) solutions in an 'illegal' setting, a solver needs a few seconds, just applying the million times seen motifs.
After that, a legalization of 10 bPs by using 1 wP appears as an unexpectedly hard task, which requires a much better solver (who believes it's possible in the first place).

After again reading a story of some German twit
making DYI crackers and landing in the hospital
(same story any Silvester), my rockets stay small!

Nikola, who's to say that a White can't betray their comrades, and become the 9th BP? ;)

Thanks for the dedication Zalmen! What merits it? No need to know of course!

And on a similar note, for Hauke, help this king fire their rocket with a friend!

Rewan, I still don't understand but never mind, the whole thread doesn't predict a better year for human creativity and values :-(

3: Add a white pawn on b1. Obviously the whole position needs to be rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise, and the three pawns on e1, f1, and g1 promote.

Oh, sorry Nikola and Joost ... The construction exercise in (b) is to "make legal the position". Turning, rotating etc will not work, as the solutions will vanish. (Already modified the enunciate) I believe there're really 3 possibilities of adding 1 wP in order to being able of eliminate the sources of illegality. But one of them is particularly elegant, keeping both solutions of (a), and these bizarre looking pillars of bPs - in a decent counting so to say...
Rewan: Our friend Eve exaggerated while trying to spare White material ... There's too much chocolate. A little dash of vanilla will fit very well...

There are 10 black Pawns and 1 white should replace at least 2 bPs. Joost made a good joke at least, but I'm to stupid.

Hauke, you started destroying 'rockets for tomorrow' instead of constructing:

h#5.5

(or re-constructing, with a 'destroying' set-play: W:Kh7,Sg6,Sg8,Pe7; B:Kd7; h#2*)
