Nice award, though I have one issue with the theme. I tried composing but in my attempts I felt that the theme was presented artificially. This can be seen, for example, in the 2nd Prize: the black bishop can be placed on a1 and everything remains the same.

You are right about 2nd Prize but also in the 1st Prize problem the BPh6 can be moved to c1 and then WPd2 can be removed. However I think that difficulty of achieving this theme was how to prevent cooks and make black weaknesses after passing square that white piece just left. So it was not easy to achieve 6 thematic variations like in excellent 1st Prize winner. By the way the 2nd Prize winner looks like even better problem to me but of course because this was a thematic tournament it was absolutely OK to rank 1st Prize winner in front of this problem.
