While exploring double-castling positions, I found this lovely mate in three. (In the reflected position, the two castling moves are also mates, hence why castling is very much impossible in this position.)

I elect that you merely flipped the board, hence why this is still a cooked problem with all of those mate duals. :)

Don't think so - if anything is regrettable, then lots of
material just standing there for symmetry. But I don't
have a problem with that, and lo and behold, I wasn't able
to solve this problem, probably because I'm too fond of
my cavalry OTB :-)
