Jacques and Paz,
Few members wanted me to tell you that they would be much happier if you resolve your issues by phone.

Juraj, the example you give recalls me this fine one :

Yaacov Vladimirov
2nd Match de l'amitié 1967-70
1st place
(= 11+6 )
S#2

1.Bd3? Bd4!; 1.Bc2? Bc3!; 1.Bd5? Bd6!; 1.Bc6? Bc7!; 1.Bb7? Bb8!

also :
1.Bb1? Ba1!

1.Ba8! block 1…Bd6 2.R×d6; 1…Bc7 2.Q×c7; 1…Bb8 2.R×b8; 1…B×f4 2.Q×f4; 1…Bd4 2.R×d4; 1…Bc3 2.Q×c3; 1…Bb2 2.Q×b2; 1…Ba1 2.Q×a1

in 2# there are also some good problems with 4 thematic tries, for example :

Vasyl Markovtsy
Sachova Skladba 1999
1st H.M.
(= 10+6 )
2#

1.Ba5? Ba6!; 1.Bb4? Bb5!; 1.Bd2? B×d3!; 1.Bd4? Bd5!

1.Be1! [2.d×c4‡]
1…Sf4,Sc5 2.S(×)c5‡
1…c×d1=~ 2.B×d1‡
1…Ba6 2.Sa5‡
1…Bb5 2.R×b5‡
1…B×d3 2.Q×d3‡
1…Bd5 2.d4‡

An appropriate name for the Vladimirov problem would be the "Umbrella theme".

It is, I must say, the first time I can see such a strange "name" here.

Well, it is just a suggestion. After all the white bishop acts as umbrella for the black bishop protecting it from the enemy forces!

It seems that "Monkey theme" fits well also for "anti-equipollent white/black duel" as in this :

Marjan Kovacevic
Uralsky Problemist 2009
(= 11+10 )
2#

1.B×f6? [2.Sfg5,Qd5,Kh6,Kg5‡] but 1…Bd2!
1.Bf4? [2.Qd5‡] f5 2.Sfg5‡ but 1…Bd4!
1.Be3? [2.Qd5‡] but 1…Be5!

1.Bc1! [2.Qd5‡]
1…Be5 2.Re3‡; 1…Bd4 2.Qg4‡; 1…Bd2! 2.K×f6‡
1…f5 2.Seg5‡; 1…Bc6 2.S×d6‡

1.Bh6? [2.Qd5‡] but 1…f5!

Somewhere, I've seen this imitative idea referred to as the "Copycat theme". Another strange name?

There is at least one more name in the literature: “Veliky theme” – given by Nikolay Veliky, the judge of the Portoroz IT 2002. The tourney covered the same type of duels in tries and refutations (see the #2 by S. Radovic).

There was an article on this idea in "The Problemist" (or "The Problemist Supplement") a few years ago; also, a fine #2 example by John Rice therein ("after Szoghy") and quoted in his book "Chess Wizardry". As for the label "Copycat", I have a feeling that I read it in Milan Vukchevic's book "Chess by Milan".

For obvious reasons (at least for Germans),
from now on I will label this as "Guttenberg theme" :-)

I find that the award has been published. http://kobulchess.com/en/tournaments/awards/25-delia-25-jt-award.html
Congrats to Marjan for winning it! Some very good problems are there. While the judge has ranked based on overall content, the element of correspondence is remarkable in the commended problems of Dieter Müller.
