The Bicolor Valladao-Belen

The Valladao-Belen has been achieved for White in all its glory, but Black is yet to play a role. I thus present a bicolor Valladao-Belen.

#7
(= 13+12 )

Sol: 1. Nxc3+ Kc2 2. exd5 hxg1=Q,R 3. Rxg1 axb6 4. g4 fxg3 5. Rxg3 Bg4 6. Rxg4 Kd3 7. 0-0-0#

However, there are two problems-the White king is in check and there is an promoted White queen on the board. The Black promotion promotion dual to a queen or rook makes it impure, but I think that it is sufficient. The en passant part is fully justified. The many captures are unwanted of course, but they are sometimes needed.

Who can improve?

At last it is improved. The bicolor Valladao-Belen is now in an acceptable form!

#7
Dedicated To Zalmen Kornin & Peter Hoffmann

(= 14+9 )

1. Nc3+! Kc2 2. exd4 hxg1=Q/R+ 3. Rxg1 Bxh5 4. g4 fxg3ep 5. Rxg3 Bg4 6. Rxg4 Kd3 7. 0-0-0#

EDIT: Thanks to a suggestion by Andrew Buchanan, there is now one less promotion "dual" by Black. I've also managed to remove the dual after 6... Bxg6.

The White king is no longer in check and there is no promoted queen. Furthermore, Black's self-trapping of the bishop is genuinely the only defense. The means by which this is done is a bit crude, yes, but it is orthodox nonetheless.

Since I forgot to post this before, here it is now. I know, the subject is old, but it is not yet quite tired!

Peter Hoffmann, the genius that he is, also managed a bicolor Vallad-a-Belen after seeing mine, but with a genuine Black underpromotion!
You can find the full solution here-http://www.berlinthema.de/Auswahl_PH.pdf

Peter Hoffmann, H48j Der Reiz des Ungewöhnlichen, 9/2020
(inspiriert von (H48i))
(= 12+11 )

"Nachdem P.H. die (H48i) gesehen hatte, erwachte der Ehrgeiz, nun auch den Valladao-Belén mit einer schwarzen Unterverwandlung zu zeigen. Das nur knapp scheiternde 1. b4+? läßt den Schlüssel nicht völlig aufgesetzt wirken!"

And under H48j: "J.M. arbeitete weiter am Valladao-Belén und konnte ihn schließlich gemischtfarbig zeigen! Den „Umwandlungsdual“ halten wir für irrelevant, da ohne Pattmotiv die Turmumwandlung kein eigenständiger Zug ist. Und wir anerkennen durchaus die Pionierleistung! Andererseits ist ein ungedecktes Satzmatt eine sehr häßliche Konstruktionserleichterung."

Additionally, since this would go nowhere else, I actually managed to improve upon Hoffman's rook promotion from last October
.
JM, H48j Der Reiz des Ungewöhnlichen, Nachtrag 9/2020, After Peter Hoffmann
(= 15+7 )

1. Sxc3+! Kc2 2. b8=R! d5 3. cxd6ep Qxb5, Qc6 4. Rxb5, Bxc6 Kd3 5. 0-0-0
3. exd6ep? Qxe6+!
3. Bxd5? Qd8!

The point is that there is a single, clear turn order, compared the alternative order in Hoffmann's.
