7th ECSC in Lowicz on 1-3 April - information from Piotr Murdzia

Dear Chess Friends,

The organization process for ECSC is running and I am very close to announce finally the official website. But it is better to announce at least a short information than nothing.
So could you please announce on the WFCC website and elsewhere that 7th ECSC will be held on 1-3 April 2011 in Lowicz.
I would be grateful for forwarding this message to other people, I don’t have on the list.

There will be 3 competitions during the whole event:

1 April 17:00 (Open)
2 April, 10:00 (ECSC - 1st day)
2 April, 17:00 (Machine Gun)
3 April 9:00 (ECSC - 2nd day)
3 April 16:00 Closing ceremony

The main director of ECSC will be Axel Steinbrink.

The full information will appear very soon.

Thank you,
Best wishes,

Piotr Murdzia

Congrats to the medal winners. By the way, I noticed that all results are given under the links named ... rating. This is wrong. It should be ranking.

Поздравляю группу решателей из России с успешным выступлением на этом крупном международном турнире. 4е место в командном зачете – большой успех!

Большое спасибо за оперативное размещение итогов и заданий. Для полного комплекта не хватает лишь заданий Solving show...
Для сравнения - задания с чемпионата 2009 в Рио (http://ubp.org.br/wccc2009) так и не появились в Интернете...

The first problem by Dyachuk & Kopyl in the #2 is very impressive, worth a look. Although the judge have found it better than Tura's #2 (see it on p. 9), in my view it is also important to realize that Tura only separates mates in each phase (half-defences), Zagorujko in VD&VK is shown after proper defences, so that for me it is much better performance.

Wrong!

The following links were given on the site already on Oct 22nd 2010:
Quick Solving: http://www.matplus.net/pub/sosho/mg_rio.html
Solving Show: http://www.matplus.net/pub/sosho/sosho_rio.html

... Let alone the fact that the Solving Show was transmitted live on the Internet.

Pity, in the photo of winners you can not find Ryszard Krolikowski. In the site http://www.sachmatija.puslapiai.lt/ there are some photos from championship and there is possibility to see all faces of prizewinners. Sorry, all other photos are with Lithuanian visual angle.
