Open letter from Zagreb

Dear Mr. Avner,
Please, allow me to introduce our Society for Chess Composition and Puzzles Zagreb ("DŠKZ Zagreb").
Our Society was established in January 2009 in Zagreb (Croatia).
We organize chess composition tournaments and publish problems in our bulletin "PZR Zagreb" (2001-2008 known as "PZR Bilten"), we cooperate with different magazines, newspapers and internet portals, in order to popularize chess compositions.
Last year we got facilities for our weekly meetings in Zagreb, Branimirova str. 67, we were also provided with chess equipment.
We appreciate the work and the activities of PCCC!
Please give our kind regards to PCCC and to the WCCC participants!
Thank you very much and best wishes!

Dejan Glišić, president of the Society

While I am not Mr. Avner, I want to congratulate for the evolving of Bilten into an own national society! I wish you the best of luck!

Thank you very much Sigfried! Something I don't understand, in which national society? ;-)

My apologies. In my confusion I thought it is a Croatian national society. :-)

It is easy to be confused in situation with two associations inside chess federation and one society (still independent).
Also it was easy to be confused with situation PCCC-ICCU-WFCC. I believe that WFCC is the best solution for world of chess composition.
I just want to inform our world of chess composition that Society for Chess Composition and Puzzles Zagreb exists and that we work :)

The ladder of responsibility (any similarity to actual events
or foundations is denied even at gunpoint) :

Club - Any spending is scrutinized. When you hand in a receipt too late,
the treasurer will have your gonads on a plate.

Town Fed - Some generic sleaziness, the treasurer has to hunt months after
some receipts, but the elected controllers can give their OK.

National Fed - The treasurer has vested interests with his merchandizing
company, the controllers have been persuaded to look not so close
"for the national good".

International Fed - If there is any justice, everyone should be behind
bars now. If.

Intercosmic Fed - Let's hope little green men don't do sport. Or else.

I hope you are still on 1 or at most 2 :-)

Hauke
