Teddy 1.9.0 released

Teddy is a visual interface to Popeye, Natch, Euclide and Jacobi. It only requires you to specify the location of Popeye and Natch + Euclide (if you plan to use them). All other parameters are set to usable values. They may be changed later.
Look at this page from time to time or if you have a problem. A newer version may have come out.
It is available for download at http://problemskak.dk
It has user interface in four languages: German, English, French and Danish. Language may be changed on the fly.
Popeye interface in German, English and French. Natch interface in German, English and French.

Pieces may be drawn onto the board and input to Popeye / Natch / Euclide / Jacobi is generated at the same time. Twins may be generated the same way. The four solving programs may be called by pressing a button and the result is seen immediately when the program is done. It can maintain a collection of problems, everything may be saved to a .tdy-file at any time or when closing Teddy. It can generate diagrams (in colours too) and backup is automatically taken at specified intervals. There is more information on the web-site and on the help screens.

New in 1.9.0:
- interface for Euclide
- changing the solving program by one click in the menu line, the current program is indicated in bold
- buttons to double and reset the size of the central field
- a warning if Popeye is to be used for proof games
- support for the new Popeye-4.83 conditions PointReflection, Make&TakeChess, Breton Adverse
- longer backup names to avoid some problems when multiple instances of Teddy are running
- improved help screens
and some minor corrections

Unfortunately, when checking, for example, my problem 1rrnqkn1 / pbppppb1 / 1Qp3p1 / R6p / P1P5 / 8 / 1P1PPP2 / 1NBK1BN1 PG16, the Euclide 1.11 engine in the Teddy 1.9.0 shell drops significantly in solution speed compared to the original Euclide 1.11. I wonder what it is connected with. Can this be fixed?

YES, it can be fixed!
Euclide is very dependent on its hash size and Teddy allocates too little. If you manually change the first line in the central field from -m10 to -m30 it will work much faster. To be fixed in version 1.9.1

You may now download Teddy 1.9.1 from the website.
In this version Teddy will allocate the proper amount of memory for Euclide.
