Polish Chess Solving Championship - INVITATION


Dear Chessfriends,

On behalf of the Organizer I would kindly like to invite you to take part in the XXXVI Polish Chess Solving Championship, held in Bydgoszcz (1-3.03.2013).

Event organisation details

Objectives
To determine the chess solving Polish National Champions (Men’s and Women’s) and the Polish
Junior Champion
To popularise chess composition and solving

Organising body
UKS MDK-1 Hetman Bydgoszcz

Schedule
1 March 2013 (Friday) Participants’ arrival
2 March (Saturday) 11.00 – 14.30 Rounds I – III
18.00 – 19.00 Quick Show (for all interested)
3 March (Sunday) 9.00 – 12.30 Rounds IV – VI
13.30 – 14.15 Closing Ceremony

Venue
MDK Nr 1, K. K. Baczynskiego 3, 85-805 Bydgoszcz, Poland

System
international System used at World Chess Solving Championships will be used.

Referee
The main Referee will be GM Vasyl Dyachuk (Ukraine).
Rankings and titles will be derived from the WFCC list

Accommodation
Amelia Hotel, Energetyczna 1, 85-885 Bydgoszcz, www.hotel-amelia.pl
Stay to commence at the supper on 1 March and finish at the dinner on 3 March:
a) 1 bedroom flat: 230 PLN (to include breakfasts, dinners, and suppers),
b) 2 bedroom flat: 190 PLN (to include breakfasts, dinners, and suppers).
If necessary, transportation to the Venue and to the Hotel can be arranged free of charge.

Eligibility requirements
The Event is open; however; due to a limited number of participants allowed, ranked players will
have a priority. Secondly, the first come first served rule will be applied.

Entrance fees
50 PLN paid in cash at the Venue from 9.00 AM on the day (2 March 2013)
30 PLN for women and juniors
Grandmasters and International Masters are exempt from the entrance fee payment
No fee required to join the Quick Show

Prizes
Medals, cups, diplomas, cash prizes, and other attractive prizes will be available
Values of individual cash prizes will be announced on the first day of Championships (2 March 2013)
Best eight players will receive prizes
As for the Quick Show, the best three players as well as best three juniors will receive prizes

Registration applications to be sent to Mr Mariusz Stoppel, e-mail:uks@mdk1.bydgoszcz.pl, mobile:
0048 607 512 082. Required information to include: Participant’s full name, correspondence
address, required accommodation details (including room type). Registration deadline: 20 February
2013.

Final remarks
A buffet providing drinks and snacks free of charge will be available at the floor. An internet cafe is
available at the venue.
Final interpretation of the organisation details rests upon the Event’s administrator.
