The first Gambit Asseco SEE Solving Contest was won by Nikos Sidiropoulos (Greece), ahead of Goran Todorović (Serbia) and Robert Veleski (Macedonia). They were followed by Zoran Stojčevski, the most successful Macedonian solver in the 14th ISC, and by three Macedonian juniors. Nikola Nikolovski (U20 junior) made a successful solving debut after earning his final chess IM norm earlier that day. Andrej Veljanoski (U14 junior) and Blaže Suklevski (U16 junior) both had their debut earlier this year in the main category of the 14th ISC. After the excellent result in the youth category of the 14th ISC, Anton Zlatkov (U12 junior) made a nice debut as a solver in the main competition this time.

The contest attracted 15 participants. Among them, there were several chess title-holders: one GM (Goran Todorović), one IM (Orce Dančevski) and four FM (Robert Veleski, Zoran Stojčevski, Nikola Nikolovski and Dejan Dinev).
