15th Warsaw Solving Grand Prix 2016 composing tourneys

Does anyone know if the awards in these tourneys have been made? (helpmate and selfmate - closing date 11th November 2016)

Nice surprise...

Frank and I sent our problem to the tournament and had no further reaction from anybody. Not having heard anything, we started to think already about sending our problem to a different tournament.

But the Warsaw Solving Grand Prix 2016 seems to have ended in the land of nowhere for real?! In the internet I only find results for solvers, not for composers. When I asked (by email) a few weeks ago what had happened to the tournament, I got no reply.

The award was made over two months ago!

It's absolutely unacceptable that the first prizewinners were not informed.

Maybe someone who is in touch with Mr.Tura can find out what is happening with the WGP tourneys.

I think I should add something to this thread. If everything works smoothly, no comment at all is generally made. A thread like this arises when something unusual in the negative sense has happened. This could lead here to the impression that it is not advisable to participate in Polish tournaments.

This is the point which makes me write this comment. From all my experiences in the past (with Wola Gułowska, Warsaw Solving Grand Prix, Polish Chess Federation) I can only say that the treatment by our Polish friends has always been excellent. They would send not only the award (punctually, at least a link) but even charming things like a medal, even a gravure, for prizes. Where otherwise does this happen these days?

Therefore it is contrary to the exemplary Polish tradition of many years what happened in 2016. My main question is what may be the reason for this. I hope that the organizers have no problems (whatever) in their team. In particular, I hope that Mr Tura is doing well and in good health.
