After a few years of composing, I finally created a problem I deemed worthy for Die Schwalbe. This marks my first original in the magazine. Here it is for all to enjoy! Be sure not to post the solution until it appears in August.
I thank Siegfried Hornecker and Olaf Jenker for their help in computer testing.

Aw c'mon. I don't even have to solve it to guess that
mysterious task is a Valladao. (Which comes in very handy,
as I couldn't solve it anyway :-) Congrats to your first
SCHWALBE entry!
EDIT: But I'm a very strong solver nonetheless and
immediately spotted that there must be a typo (luckily,
I have the paper SCHWALBE on my desk). +wBc5!
