It's curious that in the Fairy section entries are required to have no fairy content. |

Indeed.
Also the announcements in the helpmate and selfmate sections are very restrictive. |

"In the fairies section (help-selfmates in 3 to 5) fairy pieces and conditions are not allowed."
Are "pure" helpselfmates considered (almost) orthodox, nowadays? |

If helpplay and play for a selfmate are considered as orthodox, then - yes. |

Although I am not really happy about choice to restrict some sections of 6th FIDE World Cup, after all it is a discretion solely of a tourney organizer, if it is not WCCT, FA or WCCI. |

Today is the deadline for sending entries.
Could anyone give explanation if Group E (h#3) includes h#2.5?
I asked the judge, and he would also like to know the answer. |

Marjan, I did not say "I do not know," I said that only h # 3 is allowed |

Well, the list may be useful, but in such a tourney I'd prefer complete anonymous judging. |

by the way, catch Andrei's own page for his 50-Jubilee tourney. He awarded an amazing #2 1st Pr., which features a theme developed by Vasyl Dyachuk and Anatoly Slesarenko. Pavel Murashev joins them this time, expanding the Erochin-LeGrand combination to include 3x2 Zagoruyko, I believe, for the first time....amazing!! |

@ Frank Ritcher. I think the Director only will know the authors. |

@seetharaman
I think what Frank means is a hypothetical situation like this:
Suppose a problem is submitted anonymously that stylistically clearly belongs to either composer A or to composer B.
Now simply revealing that either A or B did not took part in the tourney compromises the anonymity of the entry right away.
And if we also suppose that the judge has a prejudice towards either A or B... the whole point of anonymity is lost. |
