The Douglas Hofstadter challenge
Composing chess problems is kind of unfair, for the same reason
as writing crime novels is. But even in the crime novel genre,
e.g. "Landschaft mit toten Deans" ("The Oxford Murders")
(not sure about both German and English title!) the author
gets away with naming the murderer on the first page in
broad daylight. (And snookered even me.)
So, why not pull the same stunt in a chess problem?

Obviously, this example suffers from the usual malady of
symbol&letter problems - almost everything is superfluous.
Surely you can do better! :-)
