In an article Bernd Gräfrath demonstrates this fairy condition with six original proof games, and in order to encourage the further exploration of this thematic field, the Retroblog announces a thematic tourney for proof games with Fuddled Men. Both article and announcement of the thematic tourney you will find at https://www.thbrand.de/downloads/5rbtt_fuddled.pdf
Please send you entries until March 31, 2020 to me; Bernd will judge the tourney. Much fun and good luck!

Preliminary award.
The prize problem is a great problem, a masterpiece by a master (Caillaud).
EDIT:
Small challenge for readers: Create a proof game ending in triple mate. It needs to end with en passant, obviously. The fuddled piece and two other line pieces will give check at once when the pawn captures en passant.
One possible setting would be bKh6 wQf8 Pg6 Rh1 Bc1
I didn't manage to get that correct (nor the alternative wBf8 Qc1...f4). But it should be possible. Triple check would be trivial, triple mate is a challenge.
Send it to Thomas Brand for the Schwalbe retro informal tourney or anywhere else you like when you're done, and make sure to inform me after publication. :-) | | (3) Posted by Sarah Hornecker [Wednesday, May 13, 2020 19:53] | Bernd Gräfrath has solved my challenge:
1.h4 f6 2.Rh3 Kf7 3.d4 c5 4.Rg3 Ke6 5.d5 Qa5 6.Qd4+ Kd6+ 7.Kd1 Qxa2 8.Rxg7 h5 9.Bf4 Qc4 10.Ra6+ e5 11.dxe6 e.p. (triple checkmate)
(C+ by Jacobi v0.7.4 according to the source)
