29th TT Chess Composition Microweb
CCM has just announced a new edition of the traditional theme tourney.
Theme: series helpmates with twinning by moving black king (both "orthodox" and any fairy are allowed)
Deadline 7.7.2011, judge Guy Sobrecases.

Is it acceptable for the twinning to interchange the bK with another unit? For example, in the diagram: bKd5 wBf2. b)d5<=>f2

No, the intention of the tourney is to show the moving of the bK only, just like it was in the 1st TT CCM in 1999 in h#: http://jurajlorinc.tripod.com/chess/ann1tt.htm

I have just checked that the judge of the tourney Guy Sobrecases has not been logged here already for a whole half-year. I have exchanged some e-mails with him in September 2011, but nothing since then and he does not answer even the most urgently formulated messages, just to check status.
Please, does anyone know if Guy is ok?

As far as I know, he is OK, just very busy with other non-chess commitments. We also had a hard time to get an answer from him regarding his progress in the FIDE Album judging. Yet, we did eventually receive a positive reply.

As the delay of the tournament award became unbearable (based on the CCM usual times), the substitute judge was asked to make the award. It should be done in a few weeks.
