WCCC Official Composing Tourney (Concurrently 222nd Schwalbe Theme Tourney)


On the occasion of the 60th World Congress of Chess Composition (WCCC) and 41th World Chess Solving Championship (WCSC)in Dresden, Germany 2017 there is a "long term" composing tournament.
Required are fairy-compositions (#3 - #8) with Dresden idea.

Is the second example by Pierre Bansac really Dresdner? The strong defence is 1...a1Q, it is eliminated by defence 1...a1N of the same piece and replaced by 2...Nd7 of the same piece, even if in the different shape. I would say it Römer.

But in general I think this is very good theme for such a tourney, I expect very original entries!

I think the N, after promotion is considered as a different piece!
Also, the Roman typical "parallel" substitute move by the same piece is missing, though not strictly required.
