Don't ask me how a single-line stalemate miniature, showing a rather outlandish mixed-AUW (white: nR,nS,nB, black: Q) earned 3rd Prize (section D); and, don't ask me to recount why I submitted it (either I liked the move ordering, or I plead the right to misremember).

No, I am not challenging Mark's judgement -- and, so as not to refrain to partisan interests, I will simply concede that my own judgement is likely clouded by other subjective preferences.

That said, I do want to publish three other entries here, as originals for Mat Plus Forum.
Not for the purpose of comparison -- I simply consider them worthy of publication, and this seems the best place.

note: I don't know that it matters much, but these were published 2012 (my time).

Sweet problems, Kevin; and far better than some of my own unrewarded problems in this tourney. I think they're worth at least a Commendation (if I were the judge). Happy New Year!

The date for this tourney (which appears all over the award as "2009-2011") is clearly in error.

I believe the correct date should be "2011-2012."
