Alexandr Feoktistov asked to post the following announcement (translation from Russian by A. Slesarenko):
Chess composition tournament to honor the 75th anniversary of The Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
Russian chess Federation (RCF) and, on behalf of the RCF, the Commission for chess composition, announce an international tournament for composing chess compositions to honor the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
The competition includes six sections: twomovers, threemovers, moremovers, studies, helpmates, and selfmates in 2 - 9 moves.
Only 1 problem from an author in each section is accepted, joint compositions are not allowed.
All compositions are to be sent by e-mail only to Executive Director of the competition Boris Shorokhov: bbs64@mail.ru
Deadline is March 02, 2020.
All participants are kindly requested to add a FEN code to the submitted items.
Information about the competition including results will be published on the official RCF website https://ruchess.ru/
Panel of judges is as follows:
twomovers - A. Slesarenko,
threemovers – A. Bakharev,
moremovers - L. Yarosh,
studies – S. Osintsev,
helpmates - V. Gurov,
selfmates - M. Callaud.
The preliminary award will be published on the website: http://www.selivanov.world/.
After publication of the preliminary results all the participants in each section have 1 month to submit protests.
The RCF awards diplomas, special medals and cash prizes to the winners of the competition. The medals will also be awarded to members of the judges ' panel.
The total prize Fund is 90,000 rubles (~1500 USD).
The prize Fund of one section is 15,000 rubles.
1st place - 6000 rubles
2nd place - 5000 rubles
3rd place - 4000 rubles
