Alexei Ivunin produced a collection of problems by Marsil Gafarov and Petr Stepanov. It is No.26 in the Uralsky Problemist series of books. His date of death is given as 16th October 1975.

Also Odette Vollenweider wrote about Gafarov in the Spring/Summer 2010 edition of Mat Plus Review.

Magnifique!
And only a commendation?? Why?
It surprised me you didn't mention all other nice pin-mates, except the one after 2...Qf4.

Thank you Marjan, I wrote these variations with the solution below the video, you understand french ? I just did not want to be too long with the speech.
About the commendation, I also think it was a bit low.

The first problem I show is this very famous :

Walther von Holzhausen
"257 Schachminiaturen, O. Blumenthal 1903" or (- before 1903 -?)
(= 3+4 )

3#

1.Bh8! f4 2.Qg7 Ke1 3.Qa1‡
Loyd clearance
The point I underline is that if you take the bishop off the board, there is no solution! the move Bh8! is also a waiting move!

A new video, a mate in 7.

A challenge for solving, I think only for (very) good solvers or players. But rather easy to understand.
