Pam-Krabbe In A Selfmate

This joke should be self-explanatory.

s#2
(= 6+6 )

Challenge: Do it more elegantly or economically. Have fun!

Well, I can do it more silly :-)

(= 7+8 )

You can give then the hint "White castles in the solution" :-)

(= 6+4 )

Of course I can :-) (Avoiding the 2wB costs one piece.)
EDIT: Oh no, it aint.

Silliness in itself is quite elegant Hauke. Nice job! :)

And nice pawn mate idea. I thought it couldn’t be done myself. Here is an even more economic one, with two pawn replacing two pieces.

Yes, I already considered it, but I wanted to
leave you the fun. ;-) If only piece count counts:

(= 6+3 )

P.S. In my first diagram, I wanted to make
it a bit more s#-specific, but the crosscheck
is a weasel - Black has no other move anyway!
What do you think of this version, expanding
the joke?

It’s even better Hauke! It’d be a real struggle to see how White can possibly castle at all in a position like that!
