Maximum massacrum I better don't tell you from where I have the inspiration :-)
Anyway. "Massacre proof games" try to minimize move count,
e.g. P0001169, and don't care where the non-capturing moves
are inserted. I'm more interested in a game with 30 consecutive
captures (which is obviously doable - e.g. the Q eat themselves
through the whole opponent army and then are captured by
the kings, also avoiding dead reckoning arguments).
Obviously that game should be as short as possible either.
(I already peeked at Krabbe, but those are real games.) |

Amusingly, this is *almost* equally valid as a Capture Chess game
(the "almost" referring to that it is legal, but two figures remain
instead of the doable one).
Can you manage that too? (Seems not too hard if you "time" it right...) |

h5 is illegal in capture chess, as Qxh4 was forced. |

You can change the move order to 1. h4 h5 2. e3 e6. |

Joost, it isn't Capture chess. It's merely a setup of non-royal pieces strung in a capture setup.
Ulrich, the move order does not matter. |

Cool idea! (Waits politely for someone to solve by computer search.) |
