How to contact Iuri Akobia? On November 30th I contributed my study to the "Study of the Year 2013" contest by sending an e-Mail to Iuri. As there was no reaction I have sent it again on Dec 1st. I got an error message shortly after. I gave it another try by adding all the Mail-adresses on his homepage and resent it on Dec 4th.Still no reaction and my study is not listed on the homepage: http://akobiachess.gol.ge/study_2013.html
Who can help? |

P.S. I have just gotten the error message for my Dec 1st mail which was the due date for contributions.
The first error message was probably for my Nov 30th mail.
Now I can be quite sure that he did not receive my messages from Nov 30th and Dec 1st.
I hope that he at least got my message from Dec 4th and accepts it although the due date was over.
What a pity. I will never be able to compose a better study than that one (Schach 2/2013). |

Mentioned in another thread in this forum, Iuri Akobia has passed away on November 5, 2014. Consequently the competition for Study of the year 2013 needs some reorganizing. |

This is indeed very sad. |

I just noticed the following message, showing that Harold van der Heijden takes over Iuri Akobia's role in the Study of the year, and the deadline is extended to January 1st:
