I submitted a study, MPID=2273, STATUS=REJECT. This study is tough for engines (who mis-evaluate the position for many moves)
The rejection reason, however, eludes me.
The editor/judge who rejected it only wrote the following line:
8.... Qc8 {-->>>******and clear DRAW, WHite can not to win!!!-->>>>>} 9. Kd2
[The moves had been introduced by me as part of the solution, the comment is not mine] No line was given on how black could keep the draw, and I received no message or request to explain in more detail a variation.
For me, it is not a "clear DRAW", and the fact that computers cannot solve the position (or give a 0.00 evaluation) does not make it a draw. Furthermore, there is no indication at which point the desired solution breaks down (apart from the quoted comment). Therefore, I am quite confused about what to do next...
Please excuse my reticence to show the whole study, as I do not consider it cooked, and I may want to send it to another magazine or competition if the status is not clarified.
Best regards,

To me he always replied. :-) | | (3) Posted by Mihai Neghina [Tuesday, Oct 26, 2010 16:41] | Thank you, I'll try that. | | (4) Posted by Mihai Neghina [Tuesday, Oct 26, 2010 17:50] | Everything was clarified :)
