Siegfried uses "New Thread" for +1 topic and hits Satan critically.

And to let this not be only spam, I would like to ask for informations about composers who had a strong connection to spirituality or to paranormal phenomenes.

Dawson once knew a conjurer but from the circumstances it seems rather likely he was just some illusionist. Anyone else?

The infamous British nutcase Aleister Crowley was a “composer” of sorts. The late Ken Whyld once sent me around 30 compositions which appeared under Crowley’s name in a chess column Crowley ran in an Eastbourne newspaper. I sorted them into three categories – 1) good problems which I knew were by other people; 2) beginner’s rubbish which I assumed were composed by Crowley, and 3) good problems I didn’t recognise but which clearly could not have been produced by whoever composed the problems in category 2)!

Hey, did you NOT hear the talk I heard?

Crowley: Phew. Committed each and every sin on this planet.
Satan: Did not. What about chess problem plagiarism? Neener neener.
Crowley: <unprintable on Mat Plus Forum>

I'm currently writing a book on gematria and isopsephia (letter-number equivalence leading to numerical patterns) in the Koine Greek urtexte of the New Testament - does this count? (There is, incidentally, a large section therein about 666 which [in Revelation 13:18] is, actually, "man's number". As for 666 being 'the number of the Beast', the Koine Greek word for 'beast' - "therion" - does *not* sum to 666, but the Hebrew transliteration of this word *does*! - a bilingual joke?)
