30-day tourney Festival Cup Marianka 2012.
Theme: Fairy twomover with at least two phases. In one phase the threat "A" as well as defence "a" are to the same square (defence motif: disabling of the move by blocking), in the other phase the move "a" allows the move "A" in the function of the variation mate. Further content is free. Resp.: Fairy twomover with at least one threat paradox (Dombrovskis paradox, paradox D), in which the defence motif is the disabling of the move by blocking.
The tourney is open only for participants of the festival, the winner will be awarded with the Festival Cup Marianka 2012. The closing date is the July 30th, 2012, with entries to the director and judge (only by e-mail). firstname.lastname@example.org

For some reason, though I have the Echecs font installed on my computer, the diagrams in the doc file remain incomprehensible. Juraj, could you please re-post that file with the font embedded in the Word file?

Juraj won't be able to help you for a while, as he's in Spain for his summer vacations (lucky guy!)
The reason that the diagrams don't show up correctly is probably because you have only the 1Echecs font installed in your computer, while Juraj has used the 2Echecs font (which avoids the extra spacing above and below the diagram).
Download the full set of 1Echecs, 2Echecs and 4Echecs fonts from:
The 4Echecs font is a version of the 2Echecs created by Václav Kotesovec, which gives the best printing results.
